Who we are

Apêiara Capoeira is a capoeira school in Egkomi, Nicosia, Cyprus. We are responsible for the personal information described on this page. The school is run by Rodrigo Gonçalves (Mestre Casquinha).

What we collect on this website

If you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, the topic you choose and your message. We use this only to reply to you.

There are no accounts, logins or online bookings on this website.

Services we use

Web3Forms delivers contact form messages to our email inbox. Cloudflare hosts this website and processes basic technical information, such as IP addresses, to keep it secure and working.

Videos on our Events page load from YouTube only when you press play. The map on our Home page is provided by Google Maps, which may set its own cookies when the map loads. Directions links open Google Maps. These services have their own privacy policies.

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

At the academy

When you start training, we ask for your name, contact details and an emergency contact. For children, we ask for a parent or guardian’s details and consent. We may ask about injuries or health conditions so we can teach safely.

The form asks for: name, date of birth, phone, email and an emergency contact. For children, the parent or guardian’s name and phone, and anyone else allowed to collect the child. Optionally, any injury or health condition the teacher should know about. Health information is only seen by the teachers and is never shared.

We keep records of payments made by Revolut or bank transfer.

How long we keep it

We keep contact form messages for up to 12 months. We keep student records while you train with us and for up to 2 years after you stop, then delete them. We keep payment records for as long as Cypriot tax law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or object to how we use it. Email us and we will reply within one month.

You can also complain to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus.
